SSC JE Exam 2018: The Junior Engineer (JE) exam is a competitive examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit eligible candidates for the posts of Junior Engineers Group B Non-Gazetted in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quality and Quantity Assurance in Central Government departments. SSC JE 2018 application form has been released and candidates can apply till November 17, 2017. The recruitment process of SSC JE 2018 involves a two stage selection procedure – paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 of SSC JE is an objective type computer based test while the paper 2 is a descriptive test. Paper 1 will be held from January 5 to 8, 2018 result for which is expected to be declared in February 2018. Candidates qualifying paper 1 as per the minimum qualifying standards will be eligible to appear for paper 2, dates of which will be announced later. The final result of SSC JE will be prepared on the basis of the candidate’s performance in both paper 1 and 2.  Applicants should be in the age group of 18-32 years and posses a degree/diploma in Engineering to apply for the recruitment process.
